J. Brandon Waits:
J. Brandon Waits, age 35, is a Partner and founding member of
Tierra Group, LLC, which was founded in 2000 to lease and
acquire residential real estate, as well as invest in other real estate
ventures. Tierra Group, LLC is a Fort Worth, Texas based real
estate investment firm whose partnerships include TGSB
Mortgage, G.P. and TG - SJH, Ltd. Tierra Group, LLC and its
partnerships own properties in Texas and Missouri and is
primarily concentrated in purchasing and owner-financing lower income residential properties.
Brandon acts in a Chief Financial Officer role for Tierra Group, LLC and its numerous
partnerships, analyzes investments, performs risk/return analysis and performance analysis of
their holdings.
Brandon is also a Partner and founding member of TG - Leasing, LLC, a Fort Worth, Texas
based residential rental property firm that specializes in rental properties near Texas Christian
University. TG - Leasing, LLC was founded in 2005 to take advantage of the need for
student housing near Texas Christian University.
Before pursuing these partnerships and real estate investments full time, Brandon worked for
Tarrant Appraisal District. While at TAD Brandon was a Senior Commercial Real Estate
Appraiser. He performed complex commercial property appraisals of multi-family (apartment
complexes and mobile home parks), retail (strip-centers and big-box), office (single and
multi-tenant), warehouse, flex-space, restaurants and raw land to name a few. Brandon
ended his 4-year career with TAD in the Litigation department defending the districts values
in settlement hearings, mediation and court.
Brandon is a director of the Texas Christian University Alumni Board and National Alumni
Representative, and director, of the Texas Christian University Fort Worth Young Alumni
Board. He is also a member of Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX.
Brandon graduated in 1999 with a B.B.A. Degree in Finance with a Real Estate Emphasis and
a Ranch Management Certification from Texas Christian University. He is a native of Fort
Worth, Texas where he still resides today.
Scott Horton:
Scott Horton, age 35, is a Partner and founding member of
Tierra Group, LLC, which was founded in 2000 to lease and
acquire residential real estate, as well as invest in other real
estate ventures. Tierra Group, LLC is a Fort Worth, Texas
based real estate investment firm whose partnerships include
TGSB Mortgage, G.P. and TG - SJH, Ltd. Tierra Group, LLC
and its partnerships own properties in Texas and Missouri and is
primarily concentrated in purchasing and owner-financing lower income residential properties.
Scott acts in a Chief Operating Officer role for Tierra Group, LLC and its numerous
partnerships, directs contractors, performs performance analysis of contractors, researches
and analyzes investments, acts as the insurance liaison as well as collections liaison, and is
responsible for database management.
Scott is also a Partner and founding member of TG - Leasing, LLC, a Fort Worth, Texas
based residential rental property firm that specializes in rental properties near Texas Christian
University. TG - Leasing, LLC was founded in 2005 to take advantage of the need for
student housing near Texas Christian University.
Before pursuing these partnerships and real estate investments full time, Scott worked with
GE Capital Real Estate. While at GE Scott was a database creator and manager for the
Powerbuyer Service. He and his fellow team members were facilitators for high ticket
products and services for GE Capital Real Estate customers and GE buildings. Scott was in
charge of monthly reports from all of the Powerbuyer vendors.
Scott is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Worth, TX. He is one of the
founding members and president of the Genesis married adult class at FUMC.
